A gang dubbed the Florentine Banker by Check Point’s Incident Response team, was identified to have attempted to transfer £1.1 Million in four different transactions to unknown bank accounts. The attack was started via an unsophisticated and common cyber attack, business email compromise. It attempted to control, observe, and launch the attack to financially defraud all three firms.
